Family-run since 1995, this Beaufort Street bottle shop has picked up the WA Liquor Retailer of the Year title six times — 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 — voted on by the trade rather than customers. The shelves run to more than 3,600 wines, spirits and beers, weighted toward rare and hard-to-find labels sourced from Australia and overseas, with staff who know the range well enough to talk a customer through it rather than just ring up a sale. A second store trades a few kilometres away in Noranda, but Inglewood remains the original, on a stretch of Beaufort Street mixed with cafes and independent retail. It's the kind of shop locals build a running relationship with, dropping in for advice on a dinner-party bottle as readily as the weekly case.
