Operating under the licence of Ales & Tales & Co, this Fortitude Valley bar-and-bottleshop combination has built its name on craft beer, with natural wine and independent spirits filling out the shelves around it. It has grown to three Brisbane stores — Fortitude Valley, Clayfield and Morningside — without losing the specialist focus that set it apart from standard bottle-o's, and the Alfred Street flagship doubles as a small bar with weekly trivia nights drawing a local crowd in as much as the retail side does. Click-and-collect and delivery run alongside walk-in trade at all three sites. It has picked up a following among Brisbane's craft beer drinkers as one of the more reliable independent stockists in the city. Open Tuesday to Saturday, closed Sundays and Mondays. A worthwhile stop in the Valley for a beer range well beyond the supermarket standard.
