Murwillumbah

A Murwillumbah nursery on Wollumbin Street run by horticulturists Mark and Anthony, stocking native species alongside tropical foliage, shade-loving indoor plants, perennials, succulents and seasonal seedlings. Pots, compost, mulch and fertiliser round out the range, and the pair trade on hands-on garden advice for anyone planting a bed, a balcony or a bright indoor corner. Open Monday to Saturday, with shorter Sunday hours.

It started with a Bolivian manta sold at the markets around 2008, and the weavers behind it. Lynette and Macarla have been building the thing ever since — Macarla travelling, sitting with artisans and working on designs; Lynette holding the Wollumbin Street shop. Quilts, robes and sarongs, Thai silver, ceramics and home pieces from more than twenty countries, all fair-trade sourced, natural fibres and upcycled materials only.
