Vic Aird opened Beatdisc in 1995 off the back of a DJ career and an overflow of second-hand CDs. Thirty years on, it occupies the Queensland Arcade on Church Street Mall — new vinyl, used vinyl, CDs, cassettes, turntables — staffed by people who've been here long enough to actually know the stock. Official record store for Laneway Festival since 2023.

A professional audio store at 255 Church Street in Parramatta, dealing in recording and studio gear for musicians and engineers. The range runs across studio monitors from Genelec, microphones from Neumann, DPA and AEA, keyboards and synthesizers, audio interfaces, mixers, PA systems, preamps and acoustic treatment, alongside pre-owned stock. Products carry Australian manufacturer warranty, and the staff share the trade with the people they sell to. The business also runs a studio and rental arm. One of Australia's longer-running professional audio retailers, set up for browsing in person as much as online.
