Uralla

A considered retail space on Bridge Street in Uralla, the small New England town that has kept its independent main street. The range centres on homewares and a curated selection of clothing, chosen with an eye for design rather than volume, and a coffee bar on site means browsing can pause for a flat white. Uralla's distance from the larger centres has helped keep the chains out and the independents in, and this is among the town's more design-led additions. It sits within an easy stroll of the town's antique stores, galleries and cafes, making it a natural stop on a day trip up from Armidale.

Emma and Leah stock their Uralla shopfront with city design brands — Dinosaur Designs, Maison Balzac — alongside vintage and new furniture, linen, books and perfume. Leah runs styling and design practice The Beholder, and the shop doubles as the front door to their interiors work. New to the main street, and the buying already has a point of view.
